"I was initially skeptical after seeing other reviews about the reformulation but was so desperate to find a shampoo for my easily irritated scalp. I'm so glad I tried it. This shampoo makes my coily hair so soft and soothes my sensitive scalp while still getting my hair clean. It will be my new staple. Glad to have finally found a shampoo gentle enough for sensitive scalps while still being tight texture friendly. Give it a try!"
"I was so disappointed to receive my most recent order and realize the formula had changed. I have a contact allergy to all glucosides and was previously so excited that this clean shampoo did not contain any of them. It looks like they added coco glucoside recently, so I can’t use it anymore. Glad I caught it before using it, though! A warning or some kind of indicator on the bottle that there’s a new formula would be super helpful in the future. I noticed the change in color and checked before using."
"As a girl with severe allergic dermatitis, I did not know that you changed the formula. I had to go to the doctor today and get a steroid shot because I broke out in a severe rash after using the new formula . I didn’t think anything of it because I have been using this product for YEARS and it’s the only one that I’ve been able to use that doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy. When I got home from the doctor, I compared the bottle I was using to the bottle I just bought and that’s how I found out. Very disappointing and actually heartbreaking. It is hard enough as it is to find products that I am able to use."
"This has been the only shampoo I’ve found that doesn’t make my seborrheic dermatitis flare up. However, it seems they have changed the formula and now it leaves my hair feeling like it has a bunch of buildup and product left in. I’ve tried using smaller amounts and even emulsifying with water to make it less thick but it doesn’t seem to help."
"The new formula, while I haven't yet found it to be irritating to my skin, leaves a greasy residue on my hair that leaves my hair looking "wet" long after it dries. No amount of rinsing appears to change this outcome. As a sensitive skin girlie, I am deeply disappointed in this change, as I thought I had found my perfect hair care match, but alas I will have to look elsewhere for a quality fragrance-free shampoo."
"I used to love this product, but the new formula is AWFUL: when I first opened the new formula version, I thought that somehow the product had gone bad! It smells chemically, leaves hair feeling oily, and barely lathers. I’m extremely disappointed, as this was the only truly good fragrance free shampoo :("

"I ordered a few things: Air Dry Cream, Mousse, Clarifying Shampoo and Sensitive Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner. The packaging was pretty and the air dry cream and mousse work well - no issues here. I have fine, straight hair that is wavy. Both shampoos, however, made my scalp itch."
