"I received a new bottle of shampoo and it is not the same as my previous bottle. My hair gets greasier faster, like when I used another brand. It took me so long to find a shampoo that did not irritate my skin and still make my hair look good, now I am back to square one. I am so disappointed. It is already so hard for people with hypersensitive skin and allergies to find quality products that work."
"The original formula was 5/5 stars. Amazing for my sensitive skin, hair felt so soft and clean. But the formula was changed drastically. The new version feels impossible to rinse out, and after I dry my hair, there is a residue leftover that I can actually feel. My hair also feels extremely dry now!! Please please please bring back this incredible original formula. Why would you change something award winning and amazing for people who have sensitivities already!"
"The old product was great, but the formula was recently changed. The old formula was thick and bright white. It left my hair clean and my skin wasn't irritated. It also didn't leave my hair greasy. The new formula, which is yellow and thinner, leaves my hair so greasy it has caused breakouts on my face and neck. I don't even use conditioner with the new formula because it would make it even greasier. Bring back the old formula please!!!"
"I was initially skeptical after seeing other reviews about the reformulation but was so desperate to find a shampoo for my easily irritated scalp. I'm so glad I tried it. This shampoo makes my coily hair so soft and soothes my sensitive scalp while still getting my hair clean. It will be my new staple. Glad to have finally found a shampoo gentle enough for sensitive scalps while still being tight texture friendly. Give it a try!"
"I was so disappointed to receive my most recent order and realize the formula had changed. I have a contact allergy to all glucosides and was previously so excited that this clean shampoo did not contain any of them. It looks like they added coco glucoside recently, so I can’t use it anymore. Glad I caught it before using it, though! A warning or some kind of indicator on the bottle that there’s a new formula would be super helpful in the future. I noticed the change in color and checked before using."
"As a girl with severe allergic dermatitis, I did not know that you changed the formula. I had to go to the doctor today and get a steroid shot because I broke out in a severe rash after using the new formula . I didn’t think anything of it because I have been using this product for YEARS and it’s the only one that I’ve been able to use that doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy. When I got home from the doctor, I compared the bottle I was using to the bottle I just bought and that’s how I found out. Very disappointing and actually heartbreaking. It is hard enough as it is to find products that I am able to use."
"This has been the only shampoo I’ve found that doesn’t make my seborrheic dermatitis flare up. However, it seems they have changed the formula and now it leaves my hair feeling like it has a bunch of buildup and product left in. I’ve tried using smaller amounts and even emulsifying with water to make it less thick but it doesn’t seem to help."
"The new formula, while I haven't yet found it to be irritating to my skin, leaves a greasy residue on my hair that leaves my hair looking "wet" long after it dries. No amount of rinsing appears to change this outcome. As a sensitive skin girlie, I am deeply disappointed in this change, as I thought I had found my perfect hair care match, but alas I will have to look elsewhere for a quality fragrance-free shampoo."
"I used to love this product, but the new formula is AWFUL: when I first opened the new formula version, I thought that somehow the product had gone bad! It smells chemically, leaves hair feeling oily, and barely lathers. I’m extremely disappointed, as this was the only truly good fragrance free shampoo :("
